Clifford’s Honey Farm is Dave and Jenny Clifford’s family business, with three generations currently working at the farm situated at Elsegood Road, Haines, Kangaroo Island. Dave started with a couple of hives as a hobby in 1973. During the late 1980’s when the wool prices dropped, Dave and Jenny diversified their sheep farm by expanding the small honey business. They opened the farm-gate store in 1993 and they have grown their business to what it is today
The installation of a commercial solar system allows the honey farm to significantly decrease the power bill, creating the ability to supply complete daytime energy requirements while also having a decreased environmental impact.
